Crisis

When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters – one represents danger, and the other represents opportunity.

John F Kennedy

There are many things that are excruciatingly painful to experience. And yet, when we have gone through such pain, and healed of it, we can look upon the experience as a treasure from which we can become enriched as a human being. Tragedies as well as joys make us who we are. Our soul attracts the experiences that will enable us to become who we intend to become.

While in the midst of a crisis, our full focus is engulfed by it. It can be extremely difficult to remember the perspective of the soul. We must try to remember the spiritual aspect of our selves and call on the support of our spirit friends when we are in crisis. We can do this through thought, through prayer, through listening and accepting the love from those who come to us to help us heal.

All of us experience crises in our lives. We can survive. We must keep faith that things can, do and will change. “The one constant in life is change.” This we can count on.

We can be comforted in the knowledge that “this too shall pass”.
