Having compassion starts and ends with having compassion for all those unwanted parts of ourselves. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.
Healing is the result of clear thinking.
Physical pain is just an extension of emotion. It’s all the same thing. There are two emotions. One feels good and one feels bad. Which means, you’re connected to your Energy Stream or you’re not allowing your Energy Stream.
Abraham-Hicks, excerpt from Phoenix, AZ on April 5, 1998
In my view, we give modern medicine way too much power. We must reclaim, retain, and maintain our own power over our own bodies, our own lives, and our own choices.
Annie Zalezsak, December 15, 2017
This is why I wrote my book. It was important to express my experiences as part of my healing process; but I do not dwell in the re-telling of my story. Instead, I live what I've learned.
Annie Zalezsak, May 4, 2016
The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.
attributed to Voltaire
The dichotomy is that for true healing to occur, I must let go of the need to be healed and just enjoy and trust in the ride that is life.
Is Abraham saying that you could reach what you consider to be a prime human physical condition and that you could maintain it for as long as you remain physically focused in this body? The answer is, absolutely yes. And it doesn't mean reach your prime and then jump off a cliff the same day, either. It means, reach your prime and bask in the deliciousness of that. Now, why is other than that the more consistent experience? Because most everybody is looking around and vibrating in response to what they are seeing. So, what is the solution? Look around less. Imagine more. Look around less. Imagine more. Until your imagery is the most familiar vibration that you have.
Abraham-Hicks, excerpt from Boca Raton, FL on January 16, 1999
All illness provides us with an opportunity to re-evaluate everything.
Cheryl Richardson on HayHouseRadio, November 4, 2013
Miracles transcend the body. They are sudden shifts into invisibility, away from the bodily level. That is why they heal.
A Course in Miracles
Ah yes. Two sleeps a day make life blissful! (Comment on an article about how our ancestors slept twice within a 24 hour period).
Annie Zalezsak, December 3, 2013.
I surrender my idea of how healing looks and simply trust in right and perfect outcome that serves my highest good and greatest joy. I do not have to make it happen; I simply allow the unfolding of God’s perfect idea in, as, and through me.
from Creative Thought magazine, October 2010, Rev. Kathleen Scott, Visalia CA
A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.
I have come to the conclusion that someone who has not had a cancer diagnosis cannot teach the person who has, how to deal with it.
Annie Zalezsak, December 11, 2013
Healing is the discovery of the Divinity within.
A healer does not give a patient anything he or she does not already have. A healer simply awakens a part of the patient that has been sleeping. The power to heal is yours already. You can use external sources as ‘permission slips,’ but they are simply characters in the movie for which you have written the script. Whatever outside sources do to you or for you, you do to or for yourself.
from Enough Already by Alan Cohen
If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him.
If you can recover from worry, you'll never have an illness you need to recover from.
When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.
Poor fellow! How can you do great work when you’re always having to rub shoulders with everything that is vulgar. Think of the great Michelangelo. Nourish yourself with grand and austere ideas of beauty that feed the soul. You are always being lured away by foolish distractions. Seek solitude. If your life is well ordered your health will not suffer.
The moment you change your perception, is the moment you rewrite the chemistry in your body.
Dr Bruce Lipton
There is no physical body, no matter what the conditions, that cannot achieve an improved condition. Nothing else in your experience responds as quickly as your own physical body to your patterns of thought.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop on August 31, 2008
To preserve health is a moral and religious duty, for health is the basis of all social virtues. We can no longer be useful when not well.
Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) English Author
As soon as healing takes place, go out and heal somebody else.
Do you have to think specific positive thoughts about your body in order for your body to be the way you want it to be? No. But you have to not think the specific negative thoughts. If you could never again think about your body and, instead, just think pleasant thoughts — your body would reclaim its place of Well-being.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Orlando, FL on January 10, 1999
If there is no source of illness, why are there so many sick people? It is because they have found lots of excuses to hold themselves in vibrational discord with wellness. They are not letting it in. And when they don’t let it in, the absence of it looks like sickness. And when enough of them do it you say, “Oh, there must be a source of sickness. In fact, let’s give it a label. Let’s call it cancer. Let’s call it AIDS. Let’s call it all kinds of terrible things, and let’s imply that it jumps into people’s experience.” And we say it never jumps into anybody’s experience. It’s just that people learn through trial and error, and — through banging around with each other — patterns of thought that don’t let it in.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Buffalo, NY on September 27, 2000
The body created you from two cells man, it knows what it’s doing. It raised the blood pressure to save your life; and taking a pill is making it worse.
Billy DeMoss, DC (Doctored the Movie)
E-motion. It’s energy in motion that heals us. So feeling this is like an incision and drainage of an abcess. So the very fact that this is happening is HUGELY important to your health and self-esteem, So NEVER apologize. Never apologize.
Dr Christiane Northrup (on crying), during radio show on “Love your body from the inside out”, June 19, 2013, hayhouseradio.com
The body heals with play, the mind heals and laughter and the spirit heals with joy.
The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
The moment you change your perception, is the moment you rewrite the chemistry of your body.
Dr Bruce H Lipton
Don’t allow someone to diagnose you. YOU diagnose YOU. Tune into your body and hear what it has to say.
Annie Zalezsak, Sunday May 26, 2013
Most people do not realize that as they continue to find things to complain about, they disallow their own physical well-being. Many do not realize that before they were complaining about an aching body or a chronic disease, they were complaining about many other things first. It does not matter if the object of your complaint is about someone you are angry with, behavior in others that you believe is wrong, or something wrong with your own physical body. Complaining is complaining, and it disallows improvement.
Abraham-Hicks, from the book Money and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Health, Wealth and Happiness
Just do your best to keep yourself in balance. One of the first things that causes Energy misalignment, is asking or demanding too much of yourself in terms of time and effort. In other words, you just cannot burn the candle at both ends, so that you are physically tired, and then expect yourself to have a cheerful attitude. So, the rule of thumb has to be: “I’m going to be very, very, very happy, and then do everything I have time to do after that.”
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in West Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, March 6, 2005
The very best approach to medicine is, “Well, I see your physical body is sick, what’s been bothering you? What are you worried about? What are you angry about? What are you frustrated about?” Because that is what is at the root of all of this. And then say, “Let it go, let it go, let it go.” That's the message, and if they could hear you and do that, then they would all be well right away.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Ashland, OR on Tuesday, May 16, 2000
You are blessed beings, who deserve Well-being, and Well-being is making its way to you at all times. If you will relax and find a way to allow it – it will be your experience.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in St Louis, MO on Tuesday, July 18, 2000
No matter what the issue is, don’t try to justify why you don’t feel good. And don’t try to justify why you should feel differently. Don’t try to blame whatever it is you think the reason is that’s keeping you from feeling good. All of that is wasted effort. Just try to feel better right now.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, January 21, 2001
Wellness that is being allowed – or the wellness that is being denied – is all about the mindset, the mood, the attitude, the practiced thoughts. There is not one exception, in any human or beast; because, you can patch them up again and again, and they will just find another way of reverting back to the natural rhythm of their mind. Treating the body really is about treating the mind. It is all psychosomatic. Every bit of it, no exceptions.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Philadelphia, PA on Monday, May 13, 2002
Life is not about healing; it's about accepting that we are already healed.
Annie Zalezsak, 24 February 2013

The final act of healing is to accept that there is nothing wrong with you.
You could stand here sick with ten illnesses today, and tomorrow have no evidence of any of them. Your body has the ability to replenish itself that fast. But most of you do not have the ability to change your thoughts that fast. So the amount of time that it takes between sickness and wellness is only the amount of time that it takes for me to figure out how to let it in – for me to figure out how to feel good, when I’m looking at something that makes me feel bad.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, November 4, 2000
What drains your spirit drains your body. What fuels your spirit fuels your body.
Caroline Myss in Anatomy of the Spirit, p.77
Healing is to remind us we are not the experiences of the world.
Illness or pain is just an extension of negative emotion. When you are no longer feeling any resistance to it, it’s a non-issue.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in San Rafael, CA on Saturday, August 3, 2002
The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.
We’re asking you to trust in the Well-being. In optimism there is magic. In pessimism there is nothing. In positive expectation there is thrill and success. In pessimism or awareness of what is not wanted, there is nothing. What you’re wanting to do is redefine your relationship with the Stream. We do not ask you to look at something that is black and call it white. We do not ask you to see something that is not as you want it to be and pretend that it is. What we ask you to do is practice moving your gaze. Practice changing your perspective. Practice talking to different people. Practice going to new places. Practice sifting through the data for the things that feel like you want to feel and using those things to cause you to feel a familiar place. In other words, we want you to feel familiar in your joy. Familiar in your positive expectation, familiar in your knowing that all is well, because this Universe will knock itself out giving you evidence of that Well-being once you find that place. We have enjoyed this interaction immensely. There is great love here for you. We are complete.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in San Rafael, CA on Wednesday, March 4, 1998
There are two things guaranteed to heal mind, body and spirit: art and laughter.
Annie Zalezsak, 21 December 2011
In your world today there are countless action remedies, medicines, surgeries, and exercises offered – but there are not enough actions in the world to compensate for Vibrational resistance. Our daily meditations will provide a basis, or nucleus, for physical improvement; and it will also enhance any other treatments and remedies that you may already be involved in.
Since every disease or unwanted condition exists because Well-Being is being disallowed, then, in the absence of that disallowance, Well-Being will return.
It is a common thing for people to begin to lean in the direction of recovery, only to stop and take score too soon. And when they still find unwanted symptoms or conditions, they then offer resistant thought and lose the improved ground they have gained. With consistent releasing of resistance, all unwanted conditions will subside, returning you to your natural state of Well-Being.
Abraham-Hicks, from the Getting into the Vortex Guided Meditation CD and User Guide
But it does take the determination that you're going to put your thoughts upon something that does feel good. And so, here we're going to make a very bold statement: any disease could be healed in a matter of days, any disease, if distraction from it could occur and a different vibration dominate – and the healing time is about how much mix-up there is in all of that.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Ashland, OR on Saturday, July 20, 2002
A smile given unconditionally has the extraordinary power to breathe healing light into the heart of another. It melts ice. It transforms cocoon to butterfly.
When you are in vibrational harmony, your body produces whatever it needs to remain in perfect balance.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Boston, MA on Sunday, October 20, 1996
Grieving must be done in its own time. To deny the human reality that pain hurts only delays the process.
Find something to feel good about and get out of the way, and allow the cells to receive what they've been asking for. That is the key to healing.
Abraham-Hicks, from a workshop in Orlando, Florida, USA on January 22, 2005
When you are in vibrational harmony, your body produces whatever it needs to remain in perfect balance.
Abraham-Hicks, from a workshop in Boston, Massachusetts, USA on October 20, 1996
Don’t get lost in the diagnosis, the medicine, or in the statistics about what somebody else did about it. If you don’t feel good, it's because you're not thinking in a way that allows the Energy to flow. You could just get really, really mad at someone you love and make every muscle in your body stiff. And you would ask, “Why does my body feel this way?” And we say, because you’ve had a Vibrational tug-of-war going on… Stop looking for anything other than your mental and emotional state of being as answers to why you feel how you feel in your body. It is all Vibrational – no exception! And when you get that, then it doesn’t matter what diagnosis has been given to you – it doesn't matter – it’s temporary.
Abraham-Hicks, from a workshop in Orlando, Florida, USA on December 20, 2002
Everything we think, everything we say, everything we do, is either health creating or health negating. When we begin to look at health and healing that way, we can enter the realm of health creation from anywhere – nutrition, exercise, contemplative practice, relationship.
Dr William B Stewart
If I find a green meadow splashed with daisies and sit down beside a clear-running brook, I have found medicine. It soothes my hurts as well as when I sat in my mother’s lap in infancy, because the Earth really is my mother, and the green meadow is her lap.
from Quantum Healing, by Deepak Chopra
There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
John Andrew Holmes
At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source. When you are an artist, you are a healer; a wordless trust of the same mystery is the foundation of your work and its integrity.
Rachel Naomi Remen
Death is an inevitable cycle. But sickness before death is a symptom of resistance. Most people think they've got to get sick to die. But, you could be like the cat who chooses to get run over. Or, you could just lie down in your bed happily one night, so content and thoughtless, wanting nothing in this physical world; and just reemerge into Pure Positive Energy… You can play it out any way you choose.
