If you look in the eyes of the young, you see flame. If you look in the eyes of the old, you see light.
The great have always been humble. The great have always been kind. The great have always been lovers of humanity.
In diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
Silence is the answer. And silence arises when we are willing to let go of everything we have built up so far, and continue from there. Not to want to perform to become what we pursue-- but to become who we are.
Gert van Leeuwen
Wrinkles should merely indicate where the smiles have been.
The greatest influence you can possibly have is to radiate your own being from the level of the true self. It’s not out of duty that we let our light shine, but because it’s our joy to bring light into the world.
from Shedding the Weight, Oprah & Deepak 21-Day Meditation Experience, Day 21
The bridge between what I do and who I am, is contribution. Who I am affects the unique contribution I am able to give.
Annie Zalezsak, February 21, 2016
Finding your passion isn’t just about careers and money. It’s about finding your authentic self. The one you’ve buried beneath other people’s needs.
What you get in your life is not a result of what you want, it is a result of Who You Are.
I have also felt the temptation to go back to what was comfortable and easy. However, once you know better, and you step backward, life will let you know, bluntly, that you're going the wrong way. When you embark on the road less travelled, you become more authentic. That is the direction all of life in the Universe beckons you. Go. It is the only way. Even if you step back, ultimately fate will lead you in the right direction. Surrender to the way that your heart calls. No one else can tell you what that is... their opinions don't count. But trust that in the end, at the highest soul level, they too will support you.

A happy life is one which is in accordance with its own nature.
Marcus Annaeus Seneca (60 BC-37 AD) Roman Rhetorician and Writer
When you are in alignment with who-you-really-are, you cannot help but uplift those with whom you come into contact. Your value to those around you hinges upon only one thing: your personal alignment with Source. And the only thing you have to give to another is an example of that alignment — which they may observe, then desire, and then work to achieve — but you cannot give it to them. Everyone is responsible for the thoughts they think and the things that they choose as their objects of attention.
Abraham-Hicks, from the book, Money and the Law of Attraction
Lead your life so you wouldn’t be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.
It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.
Run, run, run — with everything you have — into everything you are meant to be.
Tama Kieves in Inspired and Unstoppable
Take your Inner Being everywhere you go. If you take your Inner Being to the party, it’s going to be a good party! If you take your Inner Being, the food that you eat will be received perfectly by the cells of your body. Every word that comes out of your mouth will be beneficial to everyone who hears them with their ears – or with their vibration. Don’t go anywhere without your Inner Being. That’s what “Allowing” is. Always having your Inner Being present. And then, anything else that happens is always orchestrated perfectly by Law of Attraction.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in El Paso, TX on Saturday, February 17, 2001
You can find on the outside only what you possess on the inside.
Adolfo Montiel Ballesteros
There is nothing to practice. To know yourself, be yourself. To be yourself, stop imagining yourself to be this or that. Just be. Let your true nature emerge. Don’t disturb your mind with seeking.
The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.
Be yourself. Above all, let who you are, what you are, what you believe, shine through every sentence you write, every piece you finish.
Our cities and places are no longer ours. Our lives are zoned like we’re a resource to be managed… I wanted to live in a world that was an expression of who we are.
You don't have to work at being in the high vibration that is natural to you, because it is natural to you. But you do have to stop holding the thoughts that cause you to lower your vibration. It's a matter of no longer giving your attention to things that don't allow your cork to float or don't allow you to vibrate in harmony with who you really are.
Abraham-Hicks, from the workshop in Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, April 19th, 1997
Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, “This is the real me,” and when you have found that attitude, follow it.
The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.
Honesty is when there is harmony in what you think, say, and do.

The universe works on a need-to-know basis; when we ask we are answered.

There are many who are living far below their possibilities because they are continually handing over their individualities to others. Do you want to be a power in the world? Then be yourself. Be true to the highest within your soul and then allow yourself to be governed by no customs or conventionalities or arbitrary man-made rules that are not founded on principle.
Ralph Waldo Trine, author of In Tune With the Infinite and The Greatest Thing Ever Known 1898

from Hamlet, by William Shakespeare
Stop trying to figure out what is ‘best’ for you (how you can win the most, lose the least, get what you want) and start going with what feels like Who You Are.

You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your lips.
Oliver Goldsmith (1728-1774) Irish Writer, author of She Stoops to Conquer
Will today be the day you decide once and for all to make your life consistent with the quality of your spirit? Then start by proclaiming, “This is what I am. This is what my life is about. And this is what I’m going to do. Nothing will stop me from achieving my destiny. I will not be denied!”

To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end in life.
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) author of Treasure Island
No matter what your work, let it be your own. No matter what your occupation, let what you are doing be organic. Let it be in your bones. In this way, you will open the door by which the affluence of heaven and earth shall stream into you.

Dare to declare who you are. It is not far from the shores of silence to the boundaries of speech. The path is not long, but the way is deep. You must not only walk there, you must be prepared to leap.
Hildegard Von Bingen – see Hildegard Von Bingen's Mystical Visions: Translated from Scivias and Selected Writings: Hildegard of Bingen
The easiest thing to be in the world is you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. Don't let them put you in that position.
Never so act, in any manner, in any inclination, that there may ever be an experience of regret within self. Let the moves and the discourteousness, the unkindness, all come from the other. Better to be abased … and have the peace within! … act ever in the way ye would like to be acted toward. No matter what others say or even do, do as ye would be done by; and then the peace that has been promised is indeed thine own.

William James (1842-1909) American psychologist and author
To be nobody-but-yourself – in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you somebody else – means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
ee cummings (1894-1962) American poet and author
Confidence on the outside begins by living with integrity on the inside.
Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself.
If I could choose
Freely in that great treasure-house
Anything from any shelf,
I would give you back yourself,
And power to discriminate
What you and and want it not too late.
The shortest and surest way to live with honor in the world is to be in reality what we would appear to be.
